Zootopia

I don't take my daughter to movies much, due in large part to her being four. However, she really wanted to check out Zootopia. After seeing this trailer, I was looking forward to checking it out.

What is interesting is how little I knew about the actual plot of the film. Initially, the film seems to be a film about staying true to yourself. "Anyone can be anything!" The main character, Judy Hopps (voiced to perfection by Ginnifer Goodwin) works to become the first ever bunny police officer.

However, there's much more to the film. Zootopia finds a way to discuss prejudice, stereotypes, diversity, and discrimination in a very effective way. Given the types of discussions we are currently having in our country, this film couldn't be more timely. So, two thumbs up from my daughter and me. Speaking of my daughter, watch her official review.

Find time to check it out. And share these fun activity pages with your child/ren!
